The Dog and Duck in Outwood are trying to raise £3000 to make a big difference to a young family who have had some devastating news.
Matt Hodges, a regular and family friend of the pub, has been diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of cancer called Epithelioid Sarcoma. Despite several rounds of chemo and surgeries, heartbreakingly it has reached a stage where there are no more options. He has now been told by doctors it’s time to make memories with his fiancee and two young sons aged just 4 and 1.
This is a fundraiser event and as such, there is no fee available. Food and drink will be provided by the venue and local press will be at the event.
